Summary
I was appalled on Saturday morning, April 24, to read Jerry Spangler's article on the Republican governor's race. I for one, think he should show more responsibility than to write an article giving personal odds on candidates' chances of winning while quoting absolutely no sources, except himself, on the morning of three major county conventions. Aside from the fact that it is illegal to gamble in Utah, it is unconscionable that he would try to influence a race so blatantly single-handed. I think a retraction is in order and a clear statement from him that he used only his personal opinions. All of the candidates, from experienced to rich to amateur, should be treated equally by the press.
