ELKO, Nev. (AP) -- A woman convicted of murdering her ranch hand to collect on a $300,000 life insurance policy was sentenced Wednesday to life without the possibility of parole.

The Elko County jury handed down the sentence two days after finding Linda Fields, 46, guilty of first-degree murder.
