PAYSON -- There were three forces at battle on Friday night in Payson. The Timpanogos Timberwolves, the Payson Lions, and the devilish weather that refused to take sides. After trading scores throughout the game, Timpanogos won the contest in the fourth quarter on a 30-yard kick by Skyler Dickerson.
From the opening kickoff, the two teams tried to focus on football despite the high winds and rain. Debris was flying across the field. The scoreboard was losing power. The fans were ducking for cover after an ambush by horizontal rain.
