PALO ALTO, Calif. -- BYU dominated Penn State 52-3, while the University of Utah fell to California 30-11 in the national rugby championship semifinals on Friday.

Cal was held scoreless for the first 13 minutes of the match until flanker Rikus Pretorius scored the first points of the match. Utah's only points of the first half came with a penalty by fullback Peter Black to make the score 5-3 at the 17-minute mark.
