Summary
I think it would be an interesting social experiment to see what would happen if the movie "Saints and Soldiers" were to be released in Utah with an R rating. Would all the good LDS people who thronged the theaters to see "Titanic" or "Pearl Harbor" shun "Saints and Soldiers" just because some unenlightened employees of the MPAA decided it was inappropriate for children under 17?
If a movie is immoral or vulgar and contrary to your values, a PG- 13 (or even a G) rating should not make it OK to watch. Likewise, if a film of the quality of "Saints and Soldiers" promotes your values and conveys a good message, it shouldn't matter what anybody else thinks -- least of all, a panel put together by Hollywood.See the full content of this document
