Summary
I was shocked to see I will be sending $1,794 more this year to the Davis County assessor than I did in 2006. Everyone knows that real estate values have increased. So why haven't our government leaders lowered the rate being assessed on our properties? The issue isn't the value of our properties but the amount of money that we are being assessed. I invite all to hold our government officials to an accounting of why they need so much more money this year.
