West Nile Detected in S.L. Mosquitoes

Summary


West Nile virus has been detected in a pool of mosquitoes within Salt Lake City limits, according to the Salt Lake Valley Health Department.

The virus, which has potential for serious illness in a small percentage of those who are infected, was detected a week ago in Uintah County mosquitoes. So far, there have been no human infections in Utah.
