INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD: Weber State's Natalie Haws (Soph.- Kaysville, Utah Davis HS) has been named the Female Track Athlete of the Meet in last weekend's 2010 Big Sky Conference Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships held at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana.
On Friday night (Feb. 26), Haws won the women's 5,000 meter race in 17:00.61. That is an NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship provisional qualifying time and broke the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse record of 17:05.05 set in 2007 by Lindsey Anderson of Weber State. Anderson went on to compete for the USA Olympic Team which participated in Beijing, China. Natalie came back on Saturday afternoon to place second in the 3,000 meter run with a career best time of 9:52.41.
