Summary
I somewhat agree with Bonnie J. Angier's thoughtful letter about Superman (Readers' Forum, July 16). But I also think we must not constantly dwell on the bad and sad things in the world. They have to be addressed -- very seriously -- but hearing about them makes me very depressed and down.
I believe we must take time for some things that are, perhaps, even trivial. We have to have fun, have a good laugh often, hear a joke and sing, to keep our spirits up. We need to be more optimistic. At my age, without a sense of humor, I couldn't make it.See the full content of this document
