Summary
I was again reminded how complicated war is while reading "Interrogator found guilty of Iraqi general's death" (Jan. 23). It's too easy to compartmentalize everything into black and white, right or wrong. We try to make it all one or all the other, glossing over the hard truth that nothing is this simple.
People ask me all the time, "So, Iraq, was that a good thing or was it bad?" This thinking is human nature, and I know I, too, fall into this trap all the time.
