Summary
In l973, in preparation for college, I got a job at Hotel Utah as the cashier in the garage. We had many clients that kept monthly accounts and came in and out each day. The young men that worked in the garage as "runners" for the cars had a few favorites. One individual took great interest in each of us. His name was Izzi Wagner. He invested in the self-esteem of young people every time he came in and out. He enriched our lives through the time and respect he gave us. He treated us as friends and equals. In every situation, Izzi Wagner gave more than he took.
I left Salt Lake in 1978, taking his influence with me. I returned to Utah in 2003 and was pleased to see that in the Rose Wagner Center, the Wagner Jewish Community Center, LDS Hospital and The University of Utah Medical Center, Izzi Wagner continued to give more to life than he took.See the full content of this document
