Summary
Our fighting men and women are one of our most precious resources. Only after solemn consideration should they be put in harm's way. It grieves me to think how our most vital resource has been exploited by President Bush and earlier by Lyndon Johnson. To have tried to fight a ground war in southeast Asia (Vietnam) and now in the Near East is insane. We have an excellent Air Force and a missile defense system if we need to get tough. When practicable, why not use these first? Why utilize ground troops unless absolutely necessary?
Bush and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld seem not to value the lives of our fighting men and women as highly as they should. Vietnam was an absolute and complete debacle. We never learn from history.See the full content of this document
