Summary
It's ironic that the Bush administration purports to take the high moral road in spreading democracy and freedom to the oppressed while it indulges in cover-up of the torture scandal. Likewise, the president's political appointees have semantically redefined the meaning of torture to make it more palatable for public consumption.
Our acceptance of torture as public policy probably causes more harm to Americans than found in the value of the information received by using it. That the media and American public remain indifferent on this matter is distressing.See the full content of this document
