WEST JORDAN -- West Jordan High running backs' coach Jim Boyce was looking for a way to motivate his players against an undefeated region rival, so he offered his newborn son as an enticement.

The coach promised to name his 8-pound son, born Thursday, after any player who scored five touchdowns in the team's game against fifth-ranked Riverton on Friday night. He almost had to name the boy Texas, as senior running back Anthony Tincher, whose nickname is Texas, scored four rushing touchdowns in the Jaguars' 48-0 shutout of Riverton.
