Taxes Too High If Funds Left Over

Summary


Government should tax enough to cover its responsibilities, not so much as to have an excess of funds to donate -- no matter how important the cause. If there are extra funds, then tax rates are too high and the national deficit too large.

There is no moral virtue in government donating money that was taxed by force. Return the money to the people so that they can fulfill their moral duty by donating to charity. Allow Americans their moral victory.
