Summary
Your editorial "What leads to prosperity?" was very refreshing and profoundly true. It is various forms of freedom, under the umbrella of the Constitution, that make this country great. That includes economic freedom, which includes freedom from government programs and entitlements, that drive the tax burden we all carry. It is our tax burden and out-of-control government deficit spending by current leaders in Washington that have led to the devaluation of the dollar as well as our new low rating (No. 10) on the Heritage Foundation world scale of freedom. It is a bad precedent for this country.
