Tainted Almonds Sicken 2 Utahns

Summary


Two Utahns were among the seven people believed sickened by almonds that were recalled this week because of salmonella.

Paramount Farms Inc. of Los Angeles announced the recall because the almonds may contain salmonella, which can cause food poisoning. The 2.7 million packages of raw almonds recalled were sold in Utah, Alaska, Arizona, Oregon and Washington under the brand names Kirkland Signature, Sunkist and TraderJoe's.
