BUENA VISTA, Va. -- Southern Virginia University has announced a change in the way its returned missionary grant will be awarded by removing the residential housing requirement and extending a flat grant of $2,000 per year to all returned missionaries enrolled at the university.

Returned missionaries who attended Southern Virginia prior to their missions will continue to receive an additional $1,000 grant per year, bringing the total returned missionary grant for them to $3,000 per year.
