Sundance Notebook

Summary

Sales update: As the festival nears its end, movie sales are beginning to pick up. Lionsgate grabbed the world rights to "Right at Your Door" and IFC films paid $1 million for "Wordplay," making the first buy on documentary films. In "Right at Your Door," a dirty bomb goes off in Los Angeles, forcing one man to seal himself into his home while toxic ash covers the L.A. basin. "Wordplay" chronicles the life and job of New York Times crossword editor Will Shortz.

Remembrance: After today's 3:15 p.m. screening of "Crossing Arizona" at the Holiday Village Cinema in Park City, a candlelight vigil will be held to remember the thousands of immigrants who have died making the deadly trek into the United States through the Arizona desert.
