Summary
Why can't many of our politicians become statesmen? In order to solve difficult problems in our society, we have to listen to and learn from each other rather than rant and rave about our own point of view and demonstrate disdain for any who disagree. How ineffective and selfish this is!
Of course there are going to be differences of opinion on every issue, especially when strong emotions accompany a viewpoint. However, until we are willing to listen to another's point of view and consider its merit as part of the solution, nothing positive will be gained.See the full content of this document
