Most people are lucky if their dreams come true once in a lifetime, but for Donna Schurtz, a combination of luck and talent are allowing her dreams to come true twice.

Draper native Schurtz, a Special Olympics Utah competitor for 18 years, earned three medals in cycling in the 2003 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Ireland, and later this month she will travel to Nagano, Japan, to compete in alpine skiing for the Winter Games, an experience she said is "another dream come true."
