Summary
I got a chuckle out of Sen. Harry Reid organizing a caucus for Mormon Democrats in Washington (all four of them) to show LDS Church members and others that they can be good Mormons, too. They can, of course, but only by distancing themselves from some of the most treasured liberal policies of their own party. They know what they are. They are policies which are too far removed from Mormon political preferences, not to mention doctrine, to ever be acceptable to the majority.
So, good luck, Harry, but it's going to be for you a little like it is for the occasional white guy attempting rap in the hip-hop community.
