Summary
My heart truly weeps for the Americans who will no longer be able to view the Oprah Winfrey show after 2011. Knowing how much it means to the masses as well as the deep cultural foundation and political influence this television show garnered will leave a gaping void in the lives of many. The depth and vision of such a program speaks legions regarding the intellectual scope of this nation. Noting that neither I nor any of the folks I run with have ever witnessed a single episode has nothing to do with the sadness its closure will bring to those of you who do.
