I take umbrage at the Campaign to Defend the Constitution's including Utah as "an island of ignorance" because just one solo legislator talked about including "intelligent design" in science classrooms.
Teachers in Utah teach evolution classes with established science, not theology. They are supported by the state board, also backed by Dr. James A. Forbes Jr., senior minister at the Riverside Church in New York City, who said in a teleconference launching the campaign, "We can do better when we let science do its job and let religion do its job.'
