In your article regarding the Provo Council, you mention the Purchase Rehabilitation Program which has been funded by federal dollars. This program has life-saving solutions for Provo's pioneer neighborhoods. It takes the worst of the worst and creates homes where families can live. It brings children for my children to play with and brings core families back to our neighborhoods. It provides us with owner-occupants who will care for these homes in the future instead of absentee landlords who only seek profit and a depreciation write-off.
Steve Turley, a member of the Provo Council, has voted against every project since he took office. His campaign was funded by developers, Realtors and contractors who have other goals in mind for our neighborhoods -- bulldoze and build something else.
