S.L. Man Convicted of Fraud, Tax Evasion

A Salt Lake businessman was convicted last week of tax evasion and fraud for failing to pay nearly $2 million in income taxes.

Jurors deliberated just four hours before convicting Stanley L. Wade of one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States, four counts of tax evasion, one count of bankruptcy fraud and one count of making a false statement in a bankruptcy proceeding.
