Rocky Tells Group of 'Green' Status

Summary


Salt Lake Mayor Rocky Anderson told mayors from around the country this week about his city's compliance with an international environmental set of standards for greenhouse gases.

Anderson, who spoke to the mayors at a conference in Chicago, instituted many facets of the Kyoto Protocol, which U.S. President Bush declined to adopt for the entire country. Anderson and a coalition of other mayors voluntarily agreed to toughen standards for air pollution and waste.
