Summary
Dennis Lisonbee's "arguments" in this forum on June 9 were either ignorant or dishonest. First, he goes to great lengths to present atheism and Marxism as a package. As a college professor, he must be well aware that atheism is not essential to Marxism, or vice versa.
Next, he claims that "every great civilization that fell into ruin did so after deciding that either there was no higher power or that they knew more than their higher power." But surely, as a college professor, he must be aware of such civilizations as Europe during the Dark Ages under the Catholic Church and modern-day Arabia stagnating in Third World misery after their return to hard-line Islam following a golden age similar to the later European Enlightenment.See the full content of this document
