The University of Utah's gymnastics team got good news Monday when the NCAA granted a waiver to use another person to help the team with spotting through April 16, 2007, just prior to the NCAA Championships to be held at Utah.
The Utes need help because assistant coach Jeff Graba tore a biceps muscle and coach Greg Marsden has a partially torn anterior cruciate knee ligament, leaving no one to spot the team. Marsden has braced himself and has been able to spot some skills, but with the team moving toward its January season opener, he can't spot the bigger tricks that need to be practiced.See the full content of this document
