Summary
Many thanks to Lorii Hubbard for her thoughtful letter describing the thoughtless crime committed against her septuagenarian father at a local restaurant parking lot (Readers' Forum, March 10). Perhaps if we put a human face on the victims of irresponsible property crimes -- as Lorii did -- some of those perpetrators will think twice. Or hopefully, at least parents will make an extra effort to teach their children that destroying or maiming another person's property is a serious crime and a moral outrage.
