Protests Hypocritical

Summary

Protesters like Tim DeChristopher who so vehemently oppose the use of fossil fuels should immediately stop using grid-supplied electricity, natural gas or oil for heating, internal-combustion engines, mass-produced clothing and food and any product made in a modern factory. Until they do, their protests are hypocritical.

Fossil-fuel usage will be necessary for many years to come. Trying to switch over to renewable energy immediately and stop all fossil-fuel usage would leave most U.S. citizens in the 17th century. They would be burning tallow candles for light, using a hand shovel for farming and spinning thread by hand to make their own clothes. I suggest that the protesters be the first to try this way of life for a while. It will add integrity to their protests.
