ACCRA, Ghana -- President Gordon B. Hinckley of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints paid a courtesy call upon Ghana's President John Agyekum Kufour Sunday afternoon, after presiding over and speaking at three sessions to dedicate the Accra Ghana Temple.
President Kufour, members of Ghana's Council of States and key ministers of his cabinet received President Hinckley in a large reception hall in Osu Castle, an 18th-century edifice that serves as presidential headquarters. President Hinckley was accompanied by Elder Russell M. Nelson of the church's Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Elder Sheldon F. Child of the Quorum of the Seventy and president of the Africa West Area and Elder Emmanuel A.
