People Not Cats

Summary

I have just entered our kitchen and noticed that our hungry cat was sitting by her empty food bowl. She is dependent on us for food, and shelter. She has lost her natural instinct of survival. She does not know how to hunt. She does not know the trials and dangers of the world. We have sheltered her so she is totally dependent on us.

Isn't that the goal of the government programs? They make us dependent so we cannot rely on ourselves to do things. We are told that the government knows what is best for us. Money is handed down with strings attached. We are told how to use the money and when. Then forms have to be filled out and sent back. They can't trust us to be wise in the use of the money. Most of us will loose our desire to be self-sufficient and our will to achieve in the world because of these programs.
