OGDEN -- In a game that was literally lights out, the Ogden Raptors again came up short against the Billings Mustangs, losing 12- 11. The game lasted over four hours thank and saw nine pitchers, 27 hits, three home runs, two ties, and four lead changes. In the fourth inning the lights at Linquist field went dark, as did the playoff hopes for the Raptors after losing three out of four games to the league leading Mustangs. The Raptors wasted one of their best offensive games all season by allowing the Mustangs to score 12 runs on 16 hits.
After Billings grabbed the lead early, the Raptors came back to tie the game in the fourth inning thanks to a two-run double by Jesus Soto. In the fifth inning the Raptors offense caught fire. With two men on Carlos Santana slammed the ball over the right field wall for a two RBI home run. Two batters later Jesus Soto sent a pitch sailing over the right field wall, in nearly the exact same spot as Santana, giving the Raptors a 7-2 lead.See the full content of this document
