Homosexuals don't need another layer of special legislation to give them additional "civil rights." Homosexuals, just like any other American citizen, can name anyone as beneficiary in their wills, life insurance policies and power of attorney. A simple federal law could be made to name anyone survivor of Social Security.
Sen. Hatch is a very bright man, but carrying the water for same- sex marriage advocates by suggesting they be given special rights is nonsense. The voters of Utah this fall will overwhelmingly reject same-sex marriage and civil unions. Same-sex marriage is a danger to family, children and society.
