PLEASANT GROVE -- Plastic-lined asphalt and concrete were not Pleasant Grove leaders' first choice for a riverbed and banks. But after high runoff overwhelmed Grove Creek a few weeks ago, threatening roads and homes, a man-made channel down 500 North was the only option.
