Summary
The Deseret Morning News has a serious problem with integrity. Reading the front page item on the mayor firing a staff member made it obvious that the Morning News negotiates with people over what news to print. This violates the most basic independence of a newspaper. I was impressed with the integrity of the Salt Lake Tribune and will transfer my subscription there. If anyone should have been fired, it should have been those at the News bargaining with the mayor.
