Summary
Young people of this nation and leaders of the world must know it is the rarest of exceptions when a man or woman of the United States Navy breaks from the honor, trust and traditions of that service. When details of the swift-boat episode were presented, it was confirmation of what most anyone associated with tech military in these kinds of matters already considered to be the case.
However desperately the transgressions hurt, let this former active-duty Navy officer add his indemnification of the proposition: The Navy's symbols of recognition for sacrifice and valor are sanctified in their own right and, additionally, sanctified by those who deservedly have previously earned them and are earning them this moment.
