Summary
I recently read a well-written article in your paper expressing the opinion that the world's most pressing problem and greatest threat to future generations is climate change. I beg to differ. The words of the prophets both ancient and modern indicate that sin is the most pressing problem.
While I wholeheartedly agree we must strive to be better stewards of Mother Earth and ever seek better ways to preserve this glorious planet that we have been blessed with, we might acknowledge that not all science reveals to us the pressing problems. Moving in the right direction, we can reduce our dependence on fossil fuels through a natural and orderly way that will not do further damage to the world economy. A complete national energy policy that unleashes the private sector to innovate and move us along in this direction is very important. We need a balanced approach, not draconian measures.
