It's no surprise that a Utah politician introduced racist legislation aimed at Spanish-surname persons. The mind-set of many Anglo people is this: They (Hispanics) cannot be allowed to become educated and self-sufficient. They must defer to the dominant ethnic group. This is the only way we can maintain our false perception of being superior.
