OREM -- Institutional furniture company Mity Enterprises Inc. on Wednesday reported a net loss of $537,000, or 12 cents per share, for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31. That compares with net income of $1 million, or 23 cents per share, in the year-earlier quarter.

The company said the loss was primarily due to an impairment charge related to the discontinuance of a table project. Without the impairment and inventory charges, Mity would have had income of $1.1 million, or 24 cents per share, the company said.
