Third District Judge Dennis Frederick postponed the trial of a West Valley man charged with killing his girlfriend's 4-year-old son.

Adam Sean Jeppson, 29, is charged with second-degree felony child abuse homicide in connection with the 2004 death of Carston Williams. Emergency crews arrived at the girlfriend's home where Jeppson had been watching the boy and found Carston in extremely critical condition with head, face and back injuries. The boy was taken to Primary Children's Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
