PAYSON -- The Payson softball team jumped on Roy early and pulled off the upset in the first round of the 4A softball playoffs with the 10-4 final score.
Though both teams were seeded No. 3 out of their regions and the game was played at the Lions' home field, the Royals were considered a significant favorite because of their 17-4 overall record this season (9-3 in a tough conference) and the fact that the Lions are such a young team and only brought in an 11-11 overall record.See the full content of this document
