Summary


Sometimes the most important stories don't begin with a splash on the front page of newspapers; they begin on the inside pages and slowly work their way into history as turning points for humanity.

Such may well be the case this week with the announcement that the Arab League -- a band of 22 Arab nations -- has agreed to visit Israel in the first-ever mission of its kind. On the agenda is keeping Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas from going under and -- on a larger scale -- finding a fresh avenue to peace in the area.
