Lehi Parents Asked to Be Good Sports

LEHI -- Those who run Lehi's youth sports programs want to make sure violence, hazing and other unsportsmanlike behavior has no place at games.

But rather than implement stricter enforcement for young athletes, they are requiring parents take a behavior class and watch a video produced for the national Set a Good Example program. Lehi Legacy Center officials focus on parents and coaches to eliminate or reduce yelling, screaming and pressure during games, said Legacy Center Director Dan Harrison. "It happens everywhere," he said.
