To Kyle Wheeler (Readers' Forum, Feb. 13) who proclaims "ignorance is strength," perhaps you need to read "1984" again. Next time pay attention to the fact that this motto was used to control minds by the totalitarian "Ministry of Truth."
If you and your family are uncomfortable with homosexuals, feel free to stay locked securely in your house. But remember, it was only a short time ago that many were uncomfortable with "sins" such as interracial marriage.
