Summary
Exactly one year after Mario R. Capecchi received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, the University of Utah is launching a program to take his research into communities statewide to help Utahns understand not only his work, but also the importance of science.
The U. has created five kiosks that feature easily understood explanations of research done by Capecchi, who is a distinguished professor of genetics and biology. He was honored, along with Oliver Smithies and Martin Evans for his work in gene targeting. The interactive kiosk also features snippets of the award ceremony and other festivities in Stockholm last year when the Nobels were presented.See the full content of this document
