Summary
I, too, was disgusted after reading Terry Anderson's letter (Reader's Forum, April 22). I was a registered day-care provider for eight years in Maryland. I know what kind of parent can't find time to teach their child to ride a bike -- the kind that drove past my house where her children were in day care, went home to read the newspaper in peace and quiet and left her daughters to ask, "Why isn't Mom picking us up now?"
Terry is right on about kids with stay-at-home parents being better adjusted. Terry gets my vote for letter of the month for April.See the full content of this document
