Summary
I was waiting for a lawyer to jump to the defense of the federal judiciary on your opinion page. Charles R. Brown predictably did in his "My View" column. A couple of weeks ago, it was Lee Benson spouting the same nonsense about the rule of law -- also predictable, considering his brother is a federal judge.
Mr. Brown seems to think that the greatness of this country and the fact any of us get along is because of the superior wisdom of a bunch of lawyers who have been appointed judges. His characterization of judges as "impartial arbiters" is laughable. These people are just as biased as the rest of us, and they continually prove it with their opinions and rulings.See the full content of this document
