Intel to Build a Plant in Israel

Summary


Intel Corp., the world's biggest computer-chip maker, will build a $4 billion plant in Israel's Kiryat Gat after the government said it agreed to provide as much as $525 million in aid.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said Intel's Chairman Craig Barrett informed him that the Santa Clara, California-based company will build a third Israeli plant, which will be designated FAB 28.
